Lise shows us why spring is the best time to visit one of France’s most beautiful regions.
A great snapshot of the gear filmmakers trust. Canon T3i and Vixia cams get some respect in addition to the cams you’d expect to make this sort of list (e.g. 5D MkII, 7D). Thinking about it now, a Vixia G20 or G30 would have come in handy as a “secret” cam the other day…

Another shot of John Wilkins’ Jacques Anquetil folding bike. Note the Mafic cantilever brakes…
More bikeporn: John and Richard checking out the limited edition Santa Cruz Big Ripper.
Some recent pics from my ongoing series on the hotels/motels of Wildwood and Wildwood Crest, NJ. I’ve long been interested in mid-century modernism, and Wildwood’s motels have always conjured for me happy memories of boyhood vacations with my parents. In fall/winter the crowds are gone and all is still. It’s the perfect time to contemplate the landscape of this place and its unique visual grammar.
Just added to my Instagram page a few pics of favorite cars from the Simeon Foundation Automotive Museum , which I visited with Dad and Deb and Uncle Bob. What a great collection of iconic cars, including many race winners, for example the Ford GT40 that won Le Mans in 1967.
Some bike porn from my Trumbull, CT #mtb project: TOP: John Wilkins’ vintage Jacques Anquetil folding cycle. BOTTOM: The Anquetil’s (original?) Adga saddle.
